Men have it rough, lets be honest. Dressing a man is never easy, especially when it’s for a wedding. Basically they are expected to wear a black tie of some sort or at the very least a suit, whether that be a black suit and tie, or a summer suit, think searsucker, the choices are pretty much what color and that’s about it. So any opportunity to throw in a little extra fun and a little individualized style is a good thing.
One of the all time great statements a man can make is of course with the shoes that he wears. A man with good taste in shoes, is a man worth keeping. Want to jazz up your wedding style, how about checking out Stubbs and Wootton? These guys are the original when it comes to the velvet slipper, especially the velvet slipper with great crests and other design elements. At one point they had barbed wire black velvet slippers. Amazing.
Our friends over at Substantive Style even posted the ultimate banana leaf palm frond slipper by Michael Bastian, which apparently was a limited edition and sold out almost immediately. Boohoo.
If you’re wondering why my image is a little blurry, it’s because I was having way too much fun playing around with all of the different bespoke designs and options.
Check out the Stubbs and Wootton website, both for men and women. And even thought it’s still winter, for all you guys planning for a spring or summer wedding…
